Senior Business Analyst, Seller External Relations
About the role
We're seeking a high-judgment, results-oriented, and inventive Business Analyst to help shape the narrative around selling in Amazon's store. You'll leverage data to demonstrate how Amazon enables sellers to build thriving businesses, working across teams to develop compelling seller impact stories backed by robust analytics. This role involves collaborating with dozens of teams to understand their processes, queries, data, and tools to generate net-new insights. You'll also develop external seller impact claims based on data, partnering with Finance, Public Policy, Public Relations, Creative, and other teams.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Finance, Public Policy, PR, and Creative teams to develop data-driven narratives
- Design and implement scalable reporting solutions using SQL, Excel, and visualization tools
- Build and maintain relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to access and analyze diverse data sources
- Translate complex analyses into actionable insights and clear recommendations
- Develop compelling, data-driven narratives that accurately represent seller success
- Build scalable, automated solutions for ongoing seller impact analysis
- Establish strong partnerships across teams to enable efficient data access and collaboration
- Deliver insights that drive positive public perception of Amazon's partnership with independent sellers
- Fulfill ad-hoc data and insights requests from Policy and PR teams
Requirements
- 5+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience
- 3+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with Excel and SQL
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

Pay
Base salary ranges:
- San Diego, CA: $118,200.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually
- Seattle, WA: $118,200.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually
