Senior Business Analyst, Network Balance and Equipment Optimization (NBEO)

Description

Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) Line Haul is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to own analytics and develop solutions for Network Planning and Forecasting. This role involves working with a team of program managers, product managers, research scientists, software developers, and business leaders to design the Amazon logistics network.

• Owning critical efficiency metrics such as trailer repositioning cost and network balance.
• Producing weekly metrics and conducting deep dives on new product launches impacting these metrics.
• Contributing to monthly business reviews with Vice Presidents and building models for annual/quarterly planning cycles.
• Designing, developing, and establishing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and running complex network simulations to provide strategic insights.
• Systematically identifying data source/forecast errors and resolving them to update future plans with improved business processes.
• Developing standardized metrics for evaluating and benchmarking short and long-term network planning and forecasting.
• Pulling and reporting data from multiple databases (using Excel, SQL, and other data management systems).
• Communicating complex insights to stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
• 3+ years of experience writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights.
• Experience with Excel.
• Experience with SQL.
• Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics, or a related field.
• Experience with various statistical techniques (regression analysis, coefficient correlation).
