Senior Manager, Data Analysis - Network Platforms and Product Operations

Responsibilities
- Refining the analytical assets and core monitoring framework across the Network Platforms and Products (NPP) tower.
- Planning and executing data architecture and automated platform monitoring projects.
- Assessing the quality, scalability, and performance of real-time transactional data logs (e.g., auth, settlement, and portal logs) and the nature of their usage across product domains.
- Understanding complex technical issues and gaps in network data and proactively assessing data-driven risks, anomalies, and operational optimization opportunities.
- Communicating technical results and data trends clearly and concisely both verbally and through written communications via operational reports, dashboards, and executive presentations.
- Partnering with the Central Global Analytics team to align local NPP data assets with enterprise data strategy, cloud infrastructure, and global governance mandates.
- Coaching and mentoring technical staff, setting high engineering standards for data utilization across the team.
Requirements
- Has Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related quantitative field) plus at least 7 years of experience performing data analytics, or currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Master’s Degree plus at least 5 years of experience performing data analytics with an expectation that required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date.
- At least 5 years of experience performing professional data analysis work.
- At least 5 years of experience leading and developing with open source data technologies.
- At least 2 years of experience managing people.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related field (preferred).
- At least 7 years of hands-on experience working with high-volume, semi-structured transactional and application log data.
- At least 5 years of experience manipulating, optimizing, and performing analysis with massive, enterprise-scale datasets.
- At least 5 years of experience in financial services industry.
- At least 5 years of experience in developing statistical or econometric models.
- At least 5 years of experience in validating statistical or econometric models.
- At least 2 years of experience with data governance.
- At least 2 years of experience with predictive analytics, time-series forecasting, or implementing AI/ML tools in production environments.

Pay
The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Sales Territory: $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Data Analysis Manager
