Senior Business Analyst - Data Analytics

Key Responsibilities
- Develop reports, briefs, dashboards, and data extracts related to child support and Medicaid recovery to support department operations, legislative requirements, executive leadership, and external partner needs.
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize SQL-based data extracts, reporting solutions, analytical datasets, and automated reporting processes.
- Monitor, evaluate, audit, and review operations, programs, processes, systems, and reporting practices for quality, accuracy, effectiveness, compliance, and completeness.
- Provide analytical guidance, research support, feasibility analysis, and strategic recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Aid in data quality reviews, query management, data validation, quality control processes, and reporting integrity efforts.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, reporting requirements, and data protection standards.
- Recommend, adapt, design, and enhance automated systems, reporting solutions, and user-level system improvements.
- Plan, coordinate, and support projects, programs, reporting initiatives, and operational improvement efforts.
Qualifications
- A degree in data analysis, mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work-related experience.
- Experience using SQL for data analysis, reporting, query development, and data extraction.
- Experience with AWS QuickSight or other business intelligence and data visualization platforms.
- Experience working with large datasets, survey data, reporting systems, and analytical methodologies.
- Knowledge of child support, Medicaid recovery, government operations, or related public sector programs.
- Strong analytical, auditing, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to monitor and evaluate programs, processes, reporting practices, and operational performance.
- Experience presenting analytical findings, technical concepts, recommendations, and reporting outcomes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt automated systems, recommend system enhancements, and support technical solutions.
