Position Summary

The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) is actively searching for a dynamic, full-time Senior Coordinator to join our team. This year-round position requires someone who can work independently and collaboratively, overseeing registration processes, coordinating building services, managing programs, maintaining official records, and ensuring administrative policies for continuing education programs. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic professional, comfortable working with diverse participants, from youth to adults, and possesses a calm and composed demeanor.

Customer Service

  • Assist with student registration, including answering inquiries, providing course information, recording registrations, and processing payments.
  • Proficiency in both Spanish and English.

Management

  • Manage common areas within the building, preparing them for scheduled events.
  • Regularly lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Create and track work orders for building-related issues.
  • Develop feedback mechanisms for participants, evaluating event and conference success, and making adjustments as needed.

Account Management

  • Research, plan, and implement age-appropriate outcome-based programs for community-based professional development.
  • Maintain budget to ensure adherence to allocated funds.
  • Lead revenue generation for Memorial Gym programs.

Marketing

  • Develop traditional and digital communication efforts/marketing plans for programs.
  • Research and release information through social and multimedia outlets.
  • Create brochures, newsletters, flyers, booklets, and other publications for internal and external use.

Sales Management

  • Availability for regular evening and weekend work.
  • On-call duty as required.

Effective Communication

  • Engage with individuals, groups, and organizations to explain services and promote cooperation.
  • Serve on committees, boards, or councils.

Teamwork

  • Participate in committees, professional training, industry conferences, and conventions.

Business Development

  • Compile, verify, and prepare materials for required reports, surveys, and analysis.
  • Facilitate and monitor the contractual process, determining events, costs, and support.
  • Compile and submit reports as required by management and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in the relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Three years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
