Senior Bridge Engineer
About the role
CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our Bridge Team in Columbia, SC.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced judgement and analysis techniques to complete complex engineering designs, technical reports, specifications, and contract documents for bridge projects
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of projects with other engineering disciplines and project management staff
- Monitor project progress and performance to ensure efficient production and minimize issues in vital infrastructure
- Complete projects within budget and scheduling constraints, supporting sustainable and cost-effective solutions
- Provide guidance and technical review for junior engineering staff
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required
- Minimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience required
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Advanced proficiency with bridge design and modeling software (LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office required
- Specific experience with prestressed girder design, bridge replacement, culvert design, and load ratings as well as the ability to sign and seal design documents
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
- Ability to lead a team and work effectively in a collaborative environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications
Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
