About The Role

Armada is seeking a Senior Brand Writer to shape how the company presents itself across all platforms where words are critical. Reporting to the Head of Communications, this role requires someone who can craft headlines that resonate and produce detailed, on-brand product copy. The ideal candidate embodies Armada’s understated confidence, restraint, specificity, and ability to convey a clear perspective without needing to shout. They understand the difference between genuine writing and AI-generated content. This is a broad role that demands versatility, from crafting web copy for a new product launch to developing whitepapers and social posts. The Senior Brand Writer will delve deeply into Armada’s products, grasp their technical aspects, and express them in language that appeals to customers, partners, and prospects.

This role is office-based in San Francisco, CA.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

  • Write sharp headlines, taglines, and brand-level copy defining how Armada appears in the world
  • Develop long-form product narratives, web copy, and marketing collateral translating complex edge computing and AI infrastructure into clear, compelling stories
  • Shape the narrative of sales and investor decks
  • Draft press releases, executive communications, and other earned media materials supporting Armada’s communications strategy
  • Social channels with original writing maintaining brand voice across formats
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to ensure copy and design align
  • Develop and maintain Armada’s brand identity, helping others write in our voice

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of copywriting experience in brand, marketing, editorial, or agency settings
  • Exceptional portfolio showcasing range across headlines, long-form product copy, decks, and editorial writing
  • A clear instinct for what to cut; you know when one word does the work of five
  • A clear point of view on what good writing is, paired with the humility to take feedback and improve
  • A sharp listening skill to absorb stakeholder input and shape it into a clear story
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple writing projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in journalism, communications, or a related field
  • Experience on both sides of the table: time spent at an advertising or branding agency, paired with in-house work at a technology company
  • Experience writing for technical or deep-tech companies (infrastructure, defense, hardware, AI)
  • Experience collaborating directly with executives on speeches, op-eds, or thought leadership
  • Familiarity with using AI tools as a drafting and research aid, while maintaining a clear line between machine output and finished writing
