About the role
The Senior Biomedical Engineer will play a key role in advancing Medtronic’s Cardiac Rhythm Management therapies by leading the design and development of innovative mechanical and electromechanical catheters. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to life-changing cardiac technologies within a dynamic, cross-functional environment focused on safety, reliability, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Design and Develop requirements, plan, design, develop, and verify mechanical and electromechanical catheters in the cardiac space, ensuring these products achieve high standards of safety, reliability, and performance.
- Innovation and Improvement: Recommend and implement options or approaches to enhance safety, performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of systems, processes, and facilities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing and systems engineers, to deliver integrated solutions.
- Problem Solving: Analyze complex engineering problems, provide in-depth analysis and innovative solutions to improve processes and products.
- Prototyping and Testing: Oversee the creation of prototypes and conduct rigorous testing to validate and refine designs.
- Documentation and Compliance: Prepare detailed engineering documentation and ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and department best practices.
Qualifications
- Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or a related technical discipline and minimum of 4 years of technical work experience OR advanced degree with 2 years of work technical experience.
- Nice to Have: Experience in a highly regulated industry, preferably implantable medical devices. Demonstrated proficiency using CAD, Creo.

Pay
$108,000.00 - $162,000.00 USD
Schedule
Less than 10% travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.
