What You’ll Do
- Take full ownership of the billing cycle for an assigned group of client matters
- Build strong working relationships with attorneys, business services teams, and clients to ensure billing accuracy and compliance
- Review client billing terms, outside counsel guidelines, and agreed rates to prepare bills that meet all requirements
- Manage work‑in‑process and generate invoices aligned with alternative fee arrangements, monitoring fee caps, discounts, and budgets
- Identify potential billing issues early and recommend solutions to prevent delays or discrepancies
- Oversee the full prebill‑to‑final‑bill workflow, ensuring timely review, revision, and submission
- Submit finalized bills and eBills in the correct formats and confirm they are posted in the financial system
- Partner with eBilling and client onboarding teams to ensure accurate setup and smooth submission of electronic invoices
- Follow up proactively on invoice acceptance and payment status, collaborating with collections to reduce outstanding balances
- Communicate directly with partners, assistants, and clients regarding billing questions, revisions, and special requests
- Prepare ad hoc billing reports and provide insights based on trends and realization
- Serve as a resource for team members, offering guidance, training, and process knowledge
- Support cross‑training efforts to ensure consistent coverage across portfolios
- Create billing schedules, analyses, and monthly reporting for partners or finance leadership
- Contribute ideas for process improvements and participate in ongoing optimization initiatives
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed

$110,000 – 115,000 per year, based on experience
