About the Opportunity

The Senior Benefits Analyst is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance, data integrity, and employee support. This role serves as the internal expert on all benefits matters, partnering with leadership to maintain a competitive and well-administered benefits program critical to the organization's operations.

Responsibilities

  • Administer U.S.-based health, welfare, and retirement programs including eligibility, enrollment, and life events
  • Act as primary contact for employee benefits inquiries and issue resolution
  • Manage carrier file feeds and payroll integrations, ensuring accuracy
  • Conduct audits of eligibility, payroll deductions, and vendor data
  • Coordinate leave administration with third-party providers
  • Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and state regulations
  • Handle government filings and compliance reporting
  • Monitor regulatory changes and implement required updates
  • Lead the annual open enrollment process including system configuration, communication, and auditing
  • Develop enrollment materials to support employee decision-making
  • Manage relationships with vendors, brokers, and third-party administrators
  • Support annual plan renewals through data analysis and benchmarking
  • Participate in benefits platform implementations and updates
  • Generate reports to support operations and compliance
  • Identify and escalate data inconsistencies with corrective recommendations
  • Maintain and improve standard operating procedures and documentation
  • Recommend process and experience enhancements

Qualifications

  • 6 to 10+ years of progressive benefits administration experience managing full programs independently
  • Experience with health and welfare, retirement, and leave programs
  • Proficiency in benefits administration platforms and HRIS systems
  • Knowledge of ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and state leave laws
  • Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
  • High attention to detail and discretion handling sensitive data
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, lean environment

Preferred

  • Experience in a family office or private wealth setting
  • Involvement in benefits platform implementation or open enrollment system configuration
  • Exposure to global or multi-jurisdiction benefits programs
  • CEBS, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification

Pay

Base salary ranges from $120,000 to $130,000 USD annually, dependent on experience, qualifications, and interview performance.
