Responsibilities
- Facilitate the employee leave process, working with the third-party administrator to ensure employee leave requests are processed promptly, STD is paid timely, and Employee Relations is involved at necessary points when leaves are exhausted.
- Assist in development and implementation of Human Resource policies and programs.
- Analyze and audit benefit data to track costs, identify trends, and create reports.
- Ensure all benefit plans comply with federal and state regulations and legislation.
- Serves as a resource and contact person by assisting employees at all levels in the organization with benefit requests, answering questions and resolving issues.
- Assists with monthly benefit funding, billing, benefits accounting, and reconciliation.
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of benefit regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in benefit administration software and HRIS Systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new policies, procedures, and systems.
- Ability to create clear and effective written and verbal materials.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor's in Human Resources (or closely related field) required – will consider direct experience in lieu of education.
- 5 years Benefit Analysis experience required.
- Experience supporting benefits in a high volume, mid-size organization required.
- Experience maintaining benefits information in the HRIS system required.
- Experience in benefit plan reviews, analysis and recommendations required.
- PHIR/SPHR Certification preferred.
