About the Role

The Tulsa Center for Behavioral Health is recruiting for a Behavioral Health Case Manager within the Social Work Department. This position provides professional case management and intake services to assist clients receiving treatment through advocacy, referral assistance, and by preparing individual care plans based on recovery goals and strategies. This position is fully grant-funded and contingent upon the availability of grant funding; continued employment depends on the continuation of funding.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional case management services to clients.
• Assist clients through advocacy and referral assistance.
• Prepare individual care plans based on recovery goals and strategies.
• Function in accordance with the Joint Commission, Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and all other applicable rules, laws, and authorities.
• Adhere to the Professional Standards for Certified Behavioral Health Case Managers (OAC 450:50-7 Rules of Professional Conduct).

Requirements

Special Requirements:

• Must pass an OSBI background check.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing and able to fulfill job-related travel.
• Certification as a Certified Behavioral Case Manager must be completed within 30 days of the start date, contingent on training availability.
• Must submit to urinalysis drug testing upon a conditional offer of employment for safety-sensitive positions.

Qualifications

Level III:

• 36 months of direct, documented experience working with persons with mental illness and/or substance use disorder, plus a High School Diploma, GED, or HSE Credential, and two years of professional experience.
• OR 60 college credit hours, 12 months of direct experience, and two years of professional experience.
• OR a bachelor’s or master’s degree in any field with six months of direct experience and two years of professional experience.
• OR a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a behavioral health-related field and two years of professional experience.
• OR a current license as a registered nurse in Oklahoma with documented behavioral health experience and two years of professional experience.

Level II:

• 36 months of direct, documented experience with a High School Diploma, GED, or HSE Credential.
• OR 60 college credit hours and 12 months of direct experience.
• OR a bachelor’s or master’s degree in any field with six months of direct experience.
• OR a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a behavioral health-related field.
• OR a current license as a registered nurse in Oklahoma with documented behavioral health experience.

Level I:

• A High School Diploma, GED, or HSE Credential and six months of behavioral health experience.

Pay

• Level III: $23.79/hour
• Level II: $22.95/hour
• Level I: $21.63/hour

Schedule

• Full-time, non-exempt position.
• Primary working hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
• Work hours and location may vary depending on business necessity; employees may be required to work weekends and overtime.

About Us

The Tulsa Center for Behavioral Health (TCBH) is a psychiatric hospital accredited by The Joint Commission, dedicated to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care. TCBH provides a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment that supports recovery and enhances quality of life for individuals and the community. The facility serves adults aged 18 and older experiencing a mental health crisis, with or without co-occurring substance use disorders, who are medically stable.

In response to the increasing need for mental health services, TCBH is being replaced by the Oklahoma Psychiatric Care Center (OPCC), a new facility in the OSU Academic Medical District in downtown Tulsa. This modern psychiatric hospital will feature 106 inpatient beds, an expanded residency program, and an enhanced range of behavioral health services. Construction is currently in progress.
