Senior Backup & Storage Engineer

About the role

Responsible for managing, supporting, and troubleshooting enterprise backup, recovery, and storage environments in a multi-site data center infrastructure. This role involves collaboration with senior-level infrastructure engineers across Linux, Windows, virtualization, and storage teams.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support IBM Storage Protect (TSM/Spectrum Protect) environments.
• Manage enterprise backup and recovery platforms including Rubrik and Commvault.
• Troubleshoot backup failures, restore issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Optimize large database backups (Oracle RMAN, SQL Server, etc.).
• Perform client upgrades, migrations, and storage lifecycle management.
• Develop automation and reporting scripts using PowerShell and Bash.
• Support cyber recovery, immutable backups, and Cyber Vault solutions.
• Participate in disaster recovery testing and backup compliance activities.
• Coordinate changes, maintenance windows, and stakeholder communications.
