Join us as we build the future of fintech. As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be at the heart of our trading ecosystem, architecting the high-performance foundations that power real-time securities trading.
Responsibilities
- Architect & Build: Design and implement the core infrastructure platform that supports our US securities trading system.
- Collaborate: Partner with cross-functional business and product teams to translate complex trading requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Optimize for Performance: Continuously refine code and system architecture to achieve micro-millisecond latency and high throughput, ensuring our traders have a competitive edge.
- Ensure Resilience: Maintain and improve system stability and high availability, implementing robust monitoring and failover strategies.
- Modernize: Contribute to the evolution of our tech stack, advocating for best practices in systems programming and infrastructure-as-code.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years experience in backend development.
- CS Mastery: A rock-solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including complex data structures, algorithms, multi-threaded programming, and network protocols (TCP/UDP).
- Systems Expertise: Proven professional experience with Rust. We are also open to experts in Go or C++ who are eager to master Rust in a production environment.
- Operational Mindset: Experience with Linux internals, performance profiling, and debugging complex distributed systems.
- Soft Skills: An innovative mindset with a "built-to-last" philosophy. You are a fast learner who stays ahead of the curve in a rapidly changing tech landscape.
- Bonus Points: Deep experience with Functional Programming (e.g., OCaml, Erlang, Elixir, or Haskell). Prior experience in the financial or trading industry (FinTech). Contributions to open-source projects or a strong presence in the systems programming community.
