About the role

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be at the heart of our trading ecosystem. You will architect the high-performance foundations that power real-time securities trading, tackling challenges related to massive concurrency, ultra-low latency, and distributed systems reliability.

Responsibilities

Design and implement the core infrastructure platform that supports our US securities trading system.
Partner with cross-functional business and product teams to translate complex trading requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Continuously refine code and system architecture to achieve micro-millisecond latency and high throughput, ensuring our traders have a competitive edge.
Maintain and improve system stability and high availability, implementing robust monitoring and failover strategies.
Contribute to the evolution of our tech stack, advocating for best practices in systems programming and infrastructure-as-code.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
At least 5 years experience in backend development.
A rock-solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including complex data structures, algorithms, multi-threaded programming, and network protocols (TCP/UDP).
Proven professional experience with Rust. We are also open to experts in Go or C++ who are eager to master Rust in a production environment.
Experience with Linux internals, performance profiling, and debugging complex distributed systems.
An innovative mindset with a "built-to-last" philosophy; a fast learner who stays ahead of the curve in a rapidly changing tech landscape.

Nice to have

Deep experience with Functional Programming (e.g., OCaml, Erlang, Elixir, or Haskell).
Prior experience in the financial or trading industry (FinTech).
Contributions to open-source projects or a strong presence in the systems programming community.
