This role is critical as DualEntry continues to scale rapidly and seeks to attract exceptional talent to drive innovation and growth.

Where you'll create impact

• Design and build core backend systems (Python preferred)
• Build APIs, services, and infrastructure handling real-time, business-critical, and complex accounting logic
• Leverage CI/CD pipelines and deployment for production-ready features
• Manage data migrations and scale challenges when integrating third-party tools and external systems
• Own your work from architecture to testing, monitoring, and post-release care

What sets you up for success

• A hardcore work ethic and high agency
• 3+ years of experience in backend engineering (language agnostic)
• Deep experience with complex business logic products
• Experience deploying on AWS (or similar cloud infrastructure)
• Strong database skills: PostgreSQL, SQL, ORMs, migrations, schema design
• Experience building and testing robust APIs
• Solid understanding of software lifecycle, CI/CD, and production-readiness
• Ability to manage complex systems with evolving requirements
• Python and a modern web framework (FastAPI, Flask, or Django) is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• Equity: $75,000 - $175,000
• Base salary: $200,000 - $350,000
• 15 PTO days + 12 public holidays
