About the Role
We are seeking a Senior AV Technician to support the Space Development Agency (SDA) contract. The position involves operations and maintenance of as-built AV systems, requirements capture, design, engineering, and installation of system enhancements for custom control system designs based on customer needs. The role requires a strong working knowledge of current AV design technologies and integration, with a focus on DoD systems and security compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide operations and maintenance support to as-built AV/VTC systems.
- Diagnose and repair AV issues as they arise.
- Lead or assist programmers with evaluation and testing of changes/updates to AV systems and equipment.
- Develop a thorough understanding of AV technologies and protocols, including Crestron, Extron, BiAmp, Shure, and ClearOne.
- Develop detailed reports as needed.
- Supervise and support testing, documentation, and training.
- Troubleshoot new and legacy systems, hardware cabling, and components.
- Integrate third-party hardware/software solutions when needed.
- Interface with external/internal clients and manufacturers/vendors.
- Install, test, and support AV systems, both on-site and remotely, with possible travel outside the local office city/state.
- Deliver assigned projects, including communication management, schedule management, source control, and documentation.
- Regularly report to the manager on the status of all projects.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of company standards and methodology.
- Install structured cabling, including pulling, termination, and testing of Cat5e/6, video, RGB, HDMI, DVI, and audio cables.
- Assist with the installation of AV control system equipment, including audio and video conferencing equipment, distributed audio, digital signage, sound reinforcement, and presentation systems.
- Identify and solve issues that may impact the project.
- Ensure project deliverables and milestones are met, including close-out documentation and punch list items.
- Perform quality control checks on finished products/projects, including testing and presentation training for clients.
- Coordinate with property owners and OEMs to process RMA issues.
- Assist in supporting technicians with onsite training.
- Follow all safety guidelines of Data Projections and client requirements.
- Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field and 4 years of relevant work experience. Alternatively, 8 years of relevant work experience can be used in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with Office 365 and Microsoft products.
- U.S. citizenship.
Desired Qualifications
- CTS certification.
Skills
- Strong working knowledge of current AV design technologies and integration.
- Familiarity with DoD systems and security compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with AV technologies and protocols such as Crestron, Extron, BiAmp, Shure, and ClearOne.
- Ability to troubleshoot new and legacy AV systems, hardware, cabling, and components.
- Experience with structured cabling installation and testing (Cat5e/6, video, RGB, HDMI, DVI, audio).
- Experience installing AV control system equipment, including audio/video conferencing, distributed audio, digital signage, and sound reinforcement systems.

Pay
Target salary range: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00.
Schedule
- Standard Monday to Friday work schedule.
- Amount of travel: Less than 10%.
