Senior Auditor - Wisconsin/Minnesota & Hybrid

Responsibilities

  • Plan and help facilitate engagements to meet budget and client expectations
  • Evaluate clients’ internal controls and determine the extent of testing required in an audit
  • Review and perform substantive testing on client’s balance sheets and income statements
  • Provide exceptional service to clients by providing individual attention, responsiveness and commitment to understanding their goals and needs
  • Audit complex areas and transactions and prepare client deliverable reports
  • Exhibit solid understanding of accounting and auditing principles, quality management standards and technology implementation procedures relative to individual client assignments
  • Identify and communicate audit issues, technical matters and improvement opportunities to managers and partners to resolve client issues discovered during the audit process
  • Demonstrate technical skills, general industry knowledge and knowledge of the firm’s capabilities
  • Maintain and comply with the highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality and personal conduct
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with client’s staff to increase customer satisfaction and to strengthen client relationships
  • Perform compilation, review, and audit engagements
  • Review and prepare client work papers, reports, financial statement drafts and letters of recommendation

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Related Field
  • 2+ years of similar experience in a CPA firm
  • CPA license or in process to obtain
  • Experience with accounting software systems (e.g. QuickBooks, Thomson Reuters products)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Strong technical, analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of organization, focus, and exceptional attention to detail
