About the role

The Senior Audit Manager will lead audit engagements for clients in the Real Estate sector across various locations including Austin, TX; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; Minneapolis, MN; San Antonio, TX; Schaumburg, IL; Houston, TX; Denver, CO; Scottsdale, AZ; Atlanta, GA; Baltimore, MD; Boston, MA; Charlotte, NC; Nashville, TN; and Washington, D.C. The role involves leading teams to ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and auditing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct complex audit engagements for Real Estate clients
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop appropriate audit strategies
  • Prepare and present audit findings and recommendations to clients and management
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of audit assignments
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes impacting Real Estate audits

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • CPA certification preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in audit or accounting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Experience in Real Estate audit is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to manage and mentor junior staff
  • Experience working with large, complex organizations
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
  • Experience with audit software and tools

Skills

  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
