About the Role

The Senior Associate, Video manages day-to-day activities of all buying needs—negotiate, implement, and monitor buys for clients. They act as the liaison between broadcast stations (network and cable)/digital video partners, vendors, and clients. Responsibilities include managing the preparation, development, execution, and stewardship of media buys, as well as overseeing client integrations and added-value opportunities. The role supports the team to ensure buys are executed in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client relationships and present buys and post-analysis.
  • Update the planning team on the status of client projects.
  • Negotiate, present, and implement national television, cable schedules, and digital video buys.
  • Alert clients of marketplace shifts that affect future buys.
  • Follow buying guidelines to establish goals.
  • Monitor schedules, requesting upgrades, bonuses, make-goods, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Allocate market funds across stations/groups.
  • Advise clients of fluctuations in the marketplace.
  • Evaluate media opportunities and make recommendations.
  • Facilitate good relations and flow of ideas with sales management contacts.
  • Ensure all buys deliver the media strategy and investment specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of buys, budgets, revisions, and credits.
  • Manage and monitor clearance of discrepancies and accounting functions for assigned accounts.
  • Monitor ratings and cost trends in assigned markets.

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree.
  • 1+ years of previous media buying experience.
  • Strong knowledge of buying systems and marketplace intelligence.
  • Proven analytical, communication, and prioritization skills.
  • Able to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
  • Experience with Donovan (DDS)/MediaOcean and Prisma.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Pay

$65,000 - $70,500 per year.

Schedule

Minimum of three days per week in the office, with potential for additional in-office days as directed.
