Senior Associate Scientist, In Vivo Pharmacology, Oncology Discovery Biology
About the role
The Oncology Thematic Research Center at Bristol Myers Squibb is a key research and early development engine responsible for the discovery and development of novel oncology therapeutics. Scientists focus on novel targets and pathways for tumors that are refractory to current therapies.
Responsibilities
- Experience in conducting mouse in vivo pharmacology experiments, including model development, tumor implantation, dosing, tumor measurements, health monitoring, and tissue sampling.
- Collaborate with the team to conduct in vivo efficacy and PK/PD studies and experiments supporting the development of new pharmacology models.
- Independently execute end-to-end flow cytometry workflows, including panel design, multiparametric profiling, data analysis, and clear communication of results to cross-functional teams.
- Isolate PBMC and primary T cells from Leukopaks and functionally characterize them using cell-based assays.
- Accurately maintain proper scientific documentation associated with pharmacology studies in an electronic lab notebook.
- Effectively communicate and present summaries of research results to team members or to a multidisciplinary team of researchers.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of academic and/or industry experience
- Master’s Degree with 2+ years of academic and/or industry experience
