We are seeking a Senior Associate Scientist Bioanalytical Assay Development USA to join our Assay Development Group, supporting our Bioanalytical Sciences organization in a hybrid work mode.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing, science-driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide. The role is based in Tarrytown, NY, and will require on-site work.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, initiate, and execute qPCR, digital droplet PCR (ddPCR), and ELISA assays.
  • Prepare samples and perform assay runs supporting preclinical and clinical programs.
  • Process assay data and maintain compliance with current GxP documentation practices.
  • Document findings and laboratory records within an electronic laboratory notebook.
  • Evaluate new technologies and assay formats to advance development capabilities.
  • Maintain Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) compliance for validations under FDA regulations and SOPs.
  • Present scientific data in formal and informal meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in biology or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 3 to 6+ years of relevant laboratory experience.
  • Hands-on experience with quantitative PCR (qPCR) and digital droplet PCR (ddPCR).
  • Understanding of methodologies used to assess DNA and RNA.
  • Experience performing biochemical, molecular, and immune-based assays, including ELISA.
  • Ability to manage multiple assays and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience maintaining GxP documentation and GLP-compliant laboratory records.
  • Experience with electronic laboratory notebooks.
  • Prior experience in gene therapy and/or bioanalytical assay platform development is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving, prioritization, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently.

Pay

Salary Range (annually) $80,300.00 - $131,100.00
