Senior Associate, Restructuring Unsecured Creditors Committee
About the role
The Unsecured Creditor Committee (UCC) practice at Alvarez & Marsal provides a full suite of financial advisory services to creditors and specializes in representing official committees of unsecured creditors in bankruptcy proceedings. Our dedicated team provides services such as liquidity assessment, business plan evaluation, asset and enterprise valuation preparation, creditworthiness assessment, avoidance action prosecution, inter-company activity analysis, expert testimony delivery, and stakeholder negotiation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (Business Major)
- 5-8+ years of work experience in corporate restructuring, investment or commercial banking, and/or consulting or corporate positions with a financial or accounting focus
- Exposure to UCC work highly preferred
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills to assist with pitchbooks and the creation of client deliverables
- Demonstrate an intermediate level of experience with understanding of accounting and finance, analyzing financial statements and preparing financial models, analyzing and forecasting cash flows, understanding key operational performance drivers of a business, managing and organizing large sets of unorganized or incomplete data, interacting with clients (ability to request and extract information), staying on task while working on multiple work streams (organizational skills), problem-solving skills with the ability to think through alternative solutions, commitment to promoting integrity, leadership and objectivity, entrepreneurial team player who can excel in a fast-paced, challenging work environment, confident speaker (can communicate with personnel at all levels), efficient business writer

The amount of vacation and personal days available varies based on tenure and role type.
Pay
The salary range is $160,000 - $185,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
