Senior Associate, Project Manager, Strategic Portfolio Management

Opportunity and Role

The Community Impact and Investment (CII) team is transforming its approach to align business strategy with social impact. This includes launching new holistic approaches to investing in communities, leveraging Capital One’s volunteer time and talent, and using data and analytics to inform consulting on financial inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Oversee processes and coordinate timelines for sourcing, vetting, and building strategic philanthropic partnerships.
• Manage end-to-end sourcing lifecycles, including Open Calls, Always-On intake, and Venture Sourcing, ensuring adherence to guidelines, due diligence, and timelines.
• Facilitate meetings, prepare agendas, and distribute follow-up action items to ensure seamless alignment across internal stakeholders.
• Create polished presentations and reports to support stakeholder engagement and pipeline reviews.
• Partner with Market Engagement, GEA Intelligence, and Lines of Business (LOBs) to grow and demonstrate Capital One’s corporate identity and mission orientation to external communities.
• Monitor and report KPIs for sourcing pipelines and continuously optimize vetting and origination mechanics, including automating workflows and improving tracking tools.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working in a for-profit company.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, or related field, or equivalent military experience.
• Experience with complex stakeholder management.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience creating and maintaining Tableau workbooks or other project management software.
• Demonstrate ability to leverage AI tools and automation to streamline workflows and improve team efficiency.
