Senior Associate - Portfolio Valuation

Responsibilities

  • Aid in the preparation of valuations for illiquid equity and/or debt investments.
  • Communicate with hedge fund, private equity, venture capital, and limited partner investment and finance officers on the valuation of debt and equity investments.
  • Create and update financial models using various valuation methods such as discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, trading comparable, transaction comparable, and allocation models.
  • Analyze financial and economic data, including subject companies, guideline companies, industries, and markets, as well as investment analysis.
  • Generate valuation and other types of reports and presentations.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, Bloomberg, Capital IQ, and other applications and data providers.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of recent experience in investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, valuation, financial statement analysis, quantitative analysis, statistical sampling, econometrics, fixed income, and/or capital markets.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in finance, accounting, economics, or business.
  • Advanced finance, financial modeling, accounting, and analytical abilities.
  • Strong work ethic; ability to multitask, present, solve problems, organize, and pay close attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, solid research skills, and ability to work well in a team environment or independently.

California Salary Range: $94335 - $183195
