Senior Associate - Insurance Coverage Litigation (Seattle)
About the role
Clyde & Co seeks a highly motivated attorney with 5+ years of experience in insurance coverage litigation. The position involves representation of international and domestic insurers with regards to all manner of liability policies, including fidelity, directors and officers, employment, professional, property, excess and commercial general liability policies. The opportunity is suited to someone who thrives within a busy, stimulating and fast-paced team environment, and has a strong interest in working on complex insurance coverage litigation matters.
Responsibilities
- Analyze rights and obligations under insurance policies, draft coverage opinions, and provide coverage advice to clients.
- Conduct legal research, analyze findings, and draft memoranda.
- Prepare and analyze pleadings, discovery, motions, supporting briefs, and legal correspondence regarding insurance coverage litigation.
- Meet and confer with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
- Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.
- Take a proactive role in managing matters, deadlines, and communication with clients.
Requirements
- Excellent academic credentials.
- Admitted to practice in Washington, California, or Hawaii. Additional bar admissions are a plus.
- Experience in insurance coverage and coverage litigation.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- The ability to simultaneously handle sensitive and time-sensitive matters.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
Qualifications
- Admitted to practice in Washington, California, or Hawaii. Additional bar admissions are a plus.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $195,000 - $220,000. The range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
