Senior Associate - HR Services
About the Role
In our centralized HR function, you'll be at the forefront of providing direct support and guidance to our employees. You'll be the go-to person for resolving their issues and ensuring their needs are met promptly and efficiently. As an HR Services Professional, you will navigate through a diverse range of HR-related transactions, including:
- New-hire onboarding
- Performance evaluations
- Benefits administration
- Employee departures
You’ll act as the primary point of contact for new hires throughout the onboarding journey, from pre-boarding to Day 1, and manage end-to-end onboarding activities for both executive and non-executive hires across the US and Canada. You will organize and facilitate pre-onboarding and onboarding sessions, deliver Day 1 onboarding sessions, and ensure all required documentation is completed and properly maintained.
You’ll partner with Talent Acquisition, Hiring Managers, Payroll, Benefits, and Global Onboarding teams to ensure onboarding activities are completed within established timelines. You will support managers with onboarding setup activities, including asset requests and Workday transactions, resolve pre-employment screening discrepancies, and coordinate with external vendors as needed.
You will maintain country-specific documentation, contracts, labor law requirements, and compliance processes, ensuring timely reporting and processing of onboarding exceptions such as rescinds, no-shows, and start-date changes. You’ll coordinate with Payroll and Benefits teams to guarantee accurate employee setup and data integrity, maintain onboarding records, and monitor onboarding metrics to contribute to process improvements.
Additionally, you’ll serve as a mentor to junior colleagues, providing training and coaching, and act as a champion of knowledge management by keeping our knowledge base up-to-date. You will ensure compliance with local labor legislation, contractual obligations, and company policies, and provide guidance to stakeholders regarding onboarding policies, procedures, and best practices.
You will manage U.S. employment eligibility and immigration compliance, including I-9, E-Verify, Department of Defense employment verifications, and immigration petition support, and lead onboarding compliance and regulatory reporting processes, including Workday onboarding controls and Canadian government workforce surveys.
