Senior Associate, Electrical Engineer
Job Description
Responsible for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting equipment and systems
Performs engineering RF/analog/digital design and measurement tasks as well as operational tests and fault isolation on radio systems
Uses a variety of test and measurement equipment to evaluate radio performance
Create test strategies and specifications for new and derivative assemblies
Prepare test and diagnostic software, design test fixtures, complete test procedures for new and existing products
Develop, debug, optimize test software using National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand
Document test hardware and software using computer based tools
Instruct technicians in the completion of test requirements as described above
Ensures production goals & metrics are met from a test perspective
Essential Functions
Design, develop, and debug software applications for control/automation of test and measurement equipment using NI LabVIEW and TestStand.
Support Delivery of new products to our manufacturing facility.
Fixture, cable, PCB design for automated manufacturing test fixtures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- Positive attitude, openness to new ideas, willingness to learn new tools.
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
Preferred Additional Skills
- Experience in digital, analog, and RF circuitry design/troubleshoot
- Measurement of key performance parameters using analyzers, generators, oscilloscopes, and meters
- Understanding of software defined radio products and communications
- Expertise in evaluation of designs for testability; Working knowledge of functional board level testing, unit and system level testing, coverage analysis
- Must be a self-starter, and able to work successfully with minimal supervision
- NI LabVIEW/TestStand development experience
- Experience working in an Agile Scrum development process.
Pay
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York State is $70,500 - $130,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
