Senior Associate, Contract Management (Fix Term)

Accountabilities

  • Support end-to-end delivery of contract management services while ensuring compliance with client commitments and quality standards.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including software development contracts, professional services agreements, licensing agreements, IP/IT contracts, staffing agreements, and general business contracts.
  • Manage complex negotiations independently while providing oversight, quality control, and guidance to junior team members.
  • Assist delivery leadership by identifying risks, resolving contract-related challenges, and ensuring successful client outcomes.
  • Coach, mentor, and support junior associates to strengthen negotiation capabilities and contract management skills.
  • Identify opportunities to improve client contracting processes, procedures, templates, and operational workflows.
  • Maintain accurate contract data within internal and client systems while ensuring information remains current and complete.
  • Contribute to the development of contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and other tools to improve team efficiency.
  • Stay informed on relevant legal, regulatory, and industry developments affecting client engagements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing service quality and delivering additional value to clients.
  • Follow information security policies and procedures when handling company and client data and assets.

Requirements

  • Law degree and/or legally qualified professional background.
  • Legally authorized to work in the country where the role is based.
  • 4+ years of experience independently drafting and negotiating commercial contracts within a law firm, in-house legal department, or contract management environment.
  • Strong understanding of commercial agreements, negotiation strategies, and contract lifecycle management.
  • Ability to act as a senior advisor to clients and serve as an escalation point for complex contractual issues.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience working directly with business stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage complex work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written, verbal communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring junior team members.
  • Client relationship management experience and ability to build trusted partnerships.
  • Familiarity with matter management systems and contract management tools.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Word.
  • Adaptable, accountable, collaborative, and proactive mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
