Senior Associate, Consulting PMO
About the role
The Senior Associate, Consulting PMO supports and manages defined consulting operations projects and PMO workstreams, helping drive structure, visibility, accountability, and timely execution across prioritized initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in partnership with senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Communicate project expectations and updates to all stakeholders with clarity and timeliness.
- Establish and manage project timelines, milestones, and success criteria using industry-standard tools.
- Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the Consulting PMO Director to ensure strategic alignment and optimal resource allocation.
- Lead project teams from initiation through successful completion, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Actively identify and implement process enhancements to improve project delivery and PMO effectiveness.
- Utilize key performance indicators to measure project success and inform decision-making.
- Develop comprehensive project plans and communication strategies.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively, fostering accountability and high performance.
- Resolve team conflicts and manage dependencies to maintain project momentum.
- Deliver progress reports, proposals, and presentations to stakeholders and leadership.
- Proactively manage scope changes, identify risks, and implement contingency plans.
- Build and sustain relationships critical to project and organizational success.
- Collaborate with other Project Managers to advance skill maturity and share best practices amongst the FMUS PM community.
- Provide timely status updates to operations and consulting leadership.
- Seek opportunity for continued professional development to learn and grow project management skills.
- Collaborate and obtain guidance from consulting PMO team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience with exposure to project management, operational coordination, process improvement, or related responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to apply project management concepts, including scope, schedule, quality, communication, and stakeholder management.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications
Preferred:
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), and/or PROSCI Change Management Certification.
