Consulting Senior Associate

MGO is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Consulting practice. This role is primarily focused on financial accounting and financial reporting, with opportunities to support transaction-related, forensic, and advisory engagements.The role supports clients across a broad range of industries and requires strong technical accounting expertise, rigorous analytical skills, and the ability to deliver clear, actionable insights on complex accounting matters. Key Responsibilities Perform financial accounting analyses including general ledger review, journal entries, account reconciliations, and evaluation of financial statements under U.S. GAAPIdentify accounting issues, reporting risks, and control gaps, and assist in developing practical remediation recommendationsSupport month-end and year-end close processes as part of client advisory engagementsPerform financial due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions, including quality of earnings and financial statement analysisSupport forensic, fraud, and litigation-related engagements as needed, including documentation and analytical supportPrepare clear, well-documented workpapers and client-ready deliverablesCollaborate with engagement teams and participate in client meetings to present findings and recommendations Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related fieldCPA required or CPA-eligible, with active progress3+ years of professional services experience primarily focused on financial accounting, with additional exposure to due diligence, forensic accounting, fraud, or litigation supportStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reportingAdvanced Excel skills; data analytics experience a plus Compensation $90,000 - $110,000 + Bonus programs
