Position Overview
The Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. (CHAI) is seeking a dynamic individual to help build a new, lean business development and partnerships function that supports the CEO's donor engagement and CHAI's most strategic funding relationships. The role involves researching and mapping CHAI's priority funders, building pitch decks and proposals, preparing the CEO for donor meetings, and standing up AI-powered tools.
Research & Prospect Mapping
- Developing donor strategy and relationship mapping
- Identifying and qualifying new funding opportunities
- Conducting donor prospecting and research
Pitch Development
- Working with program, country, and functional teams to develop compelling donor pitch decks and proposals
- Compiling and coordinating responses to RFPs and funding solicitations
Preparation for Donor Meetings
- Preparing briefing notes and talking points for the CEO and senior leadership
Conference Coordination
- Coordinating CHAI's presence at key conferences and convenings
Tracking & Coordination
- Building and maintaining AI-based tools
- Designing, building, and maintaining a custom AI-powered donor CRM
- Maintaining donor data and updating logs
Development Operations
- Managing the CHAI Development inbox
- Maintaining donor portal logins
- Handling day-to-day operational tasks
Gathering Organizational BD Needs
- Synergizing input from program, country, and functional teams
- Translating input into a coherent strategy and lightweight tools
Requirements
- Minimum of 5-6 years of work experience in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
- Experience developing proposals, pitches, or fundraising materials
- Demonstrated ability to build sophisticated AI-powered tools and workflows
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Superb communication skills in English
