Senior Associate Attorney

About the Role

Our client is a leading California lemon law firm known for delivering exceptional results and developing high-performing litigators into true firm leaders. We are seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney ready to take full ownership of cases, shape litigation strategy, and spearhead the growth of our rising associate team. This role offers far more autonomy, direct impact, and rapid advancement than traditional firms, with continuous high-level training and a clear platform to elevate from managing attorney to mentor and Junior Partner.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic litigation on complex lemon law and consumer protection matters with total autonomy and accountability.
• Lead high-impact depositions, including corporate representatives and expert witnesses, while training junior counsel on proper execution.
• Master motion practice and civil procedure by drafting, reviewing, and overseeing complex pleadings, motions in limine, and dispositive motions.
• Mentor and develop junior attorneys and legal support staff, sharpening their legal writing, case positioning, and courtroom confidence.
• Represent clients in critical court proceedings, mediations, and high-stakes settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate directly with Managing Partners on team development, firm culture, and streamlining litigation workflows.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active California Bar membership in good standing.
• 3-5+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Proven track record of independently managing cases, taking key depositions, and driving strong outcomes.
• Passion for mentorship, team development, and leadership within a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional legal writing, analytical skills, and oral advocacy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with lemon law or consumer protection litigation.
• Federal court experience and/or admissions.
• Previous experience mentoring or supervising associate attorneys.
