Senior ASIC Design Engineer, Amazon Leo
Description
Alexa Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites providing low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities worldwide. The Role involves being part of Amazon Leo's sub-team responsible for defining and implementing digital chip System On Chip (SOC) solutions for communications via Low Earth Orbit satellites and Amazon gateways. This is a pioneering opportunity to define a groundbreaking wireless solution with minimal legacy constraints. The team collaborates with customer requirements and wireless system teams to define modems, high-speed interfaces, embedded processors, and DSP solutions in the latest CMOS technologies. The focus is on developing solutions that optimize customer experience (throughput, latency, and availability) while meeting stringent power and cost constraints. The role requires driving high-quality designs for first-time-right silicon solutions and ensuring that the block meets Design For Testability (DFT), timing, and power targets through close collaboration with the implementation team. Additionally, the candidate should conduct trade-off analyses to enhance customer experience and resource optimization (costs, power, spectrum).
