Senior Architectural Technician – Mechanical Systems

Role Overview

Develop detailed HVAC system designs, specifications, and load calculations in compliance with current codes. This requires a demonstrated understanding of written and verbal guidelines on elements such as structure, residential construction, material takeoffs, NVR option system, roof framing, panel fabrication, and/or building codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree or equivalent drafting / AutoCAD work experience 3+ years’ experience in the architecture, engineering, or construction industries
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Proficiency in Writesoft preferred
• Experience with HVAC system design and load calculations (Manual J, S, and D)
• PREFERRED: Experience in residential or production homebuilding
• Experience with design development and creation of construction documentation
• High level of attention to detail as well as strong organizational, planning and time management skills
• Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, with effective communication skills
