The Boeing Company is seeking an Anti-Tamper Systems/Hardware Engineer to support the Missile Defense Program in Colorado Springs, CO. These positions will support anti-tamper efforts for the National Team Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Programs & Networks. Missile Defense programs are part of the Ballistic Missile Defense System which defends the United States homeland and its regional allies worldwide.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite at Colorado Springs, CO. The selected candidate will be required to obtain access to an MDA facility, which includes a background investigation by U.S. government authorities. This position also requires candidate acceptance by an industry partner resource control board and an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance (a clearance active in the past 24 months is considered active).
About the role
The selected candidate will apply extensive expertise to solve complex problems that require ingenuity and creativity. Work is performed with minimal direction and reviewed for results from a long-term perspective. Erroneous decisions may result in failure to achieve major organizational objectives. The candidate may function in project leadership roles and serve as the prime customer contact on significant technical matters for contracts.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Anti-Tamper (AT) and C2BMC leadership on updates and/or changes to the C2BMC system.
- Perform Anti-Tamper Risk and Threat Management Assessments and reports for the C2BMC program.
- Develop the analysis process and preparation of the AT plan; provide coordination and input for near-term fielding decisions.
- Develop, deliver, and maintain C2BMC AT Plan, C2BMC AT Evaluation Plan, C2BMC Key Management Plan, and the C2BMC Program Protection Plan.
- Develop, deliver, and maintain Critical Program Information (CPI) analysis, Defense Exportability Assessments, and defense export strategy.
- Develop, deliver, and maintain waivers for CPI, AT, or defense exportability features.
- Assess program Anti-Tamper designs and implementation plans in support of verification and validation (V&V) efforts.
- Develop and deliver recommendations to improve program protection while meeting cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
- Identify risk-based technical countermeasures for the protection of C2BMC Critical Program Information and Critical Components.
- Brief Anti-Tamper and Program Protection requirements; prepare white papers and evaluations as required.
- Support program milestone reviews and Fielding Decisions; verify entrance criteria is satisfied by having the Anti-Tamper and Program Protection products approved.
- Interact with customers to define SSE requirements, solutions, trades, costs, implementation, system impacts, and effectiveness.
- Support developing plans and estimates, task execution, project tracking, reporting, and risk identification and mitigation plans.
- Keep senior management informed on major accomplishments, issues, and concerns.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-U.S. equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement. In the USA, ABET accreditation is preferred but not required.
- Minimum 9 or more years' related work experience.
- Active IAT Level 2 certification.
- Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance (a clearance active in the past 24 months is considered active).
- U.S. citizenship required to meet export control compliance.

- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with high-performing teams across multi-site, multi-discipline organizations.
- Ability to analyze high-level needs and refine them into an evolving minimum viable product (MVP) leading to a fielded product.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present technical approaches and findings clearly.
- Proven experience writing and implementing engineering plans within a project.
- Experience engineering automation pipelines in environments with rapidly changing requirements, design challenges, fast-paced activities, and tight deadlines.
- Understanding of anti-tampering and exportability concerns and secure hardware/software methodologies.
- Ability to work independently, initiate research, and document results in a highly dynamic environment.

Pay
Summary pay range (Senior-Level 4): $162,350 - $219,650. Salaries are based on candidate experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.
