Anti-Tamper (AT) /Systems Engineer (Security Engineering, Senior Associate)

US Citizenship and a current Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain/maintain a Top-Secret/SCI clearance are required. Financial background aspects will be considered during the clearance process.

About the Role

The MIL Corporation seeks an Anti-Tamper (AT) / Systems Engineer to support Naval Aviation acquisition programs, including a major ACAT developmental program. This role provides a range of engineering services such as AT, cyber resiliency engineering, vulnerability research, penetration testing, reverse engineering, and System Security Engineering (SSE) support. The position is based onsite at the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland, with an on-site schedule of 5 days per week. The role is eligible for a Compressed Work Schedule (CWS), though the schedule may change based on company or contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Participate and provide inputs to Anti-Tamper (AT) solutions throughout the program life cycle.
• Implement AT policies, instructions, and guidance in systems development.
• Participate in the identification of weapon system critical program information (CPI) and determination of the consequence of compromise.
• Conduct system trade-off analysis to recommend reasonable AT solutions.
• Develop and advocate AT contractual requirements in support of developmental programs.
• Facilitate evaluation of weapons system architectures for compliance with protection standards.
• Coordinate with program, service, Joint, and Department of War agencies to ensure horizontal protection requirements are met.
• Assist the Navy Verification & Validation (V&V) team with the assessment of AT designs and solutions.
• Support program risk management, mitigation, and reporting.
• Communicate across technical teams to share information, address issues, and accelerate new development.
• Serve as a Technical Review Board (TRB) member for systems technical events, providing AT/SSE expertise.
• Travel 10-15% to other sites as needed.

Requirements

• At least ten (10) years of recent and relevant experience in Systems Engineering and Anti-Tamper (AT).
• Knowledge and experience in weapons system architectures that resist reverse engineering.
• Programmatic or technical knowledge in identifying, formulating, designing, and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems, as well as guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems.
• Experience with the application of systems engineering methods and tools in the development of weapon systems.
• Knowledge and direct experience in Systems Engineering, SSE, and Anti-Tamper related to weapon systems and platforms.
• Knowledge and experience in the Department of War (DoW) Systems Acquisition Life Cycle.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related scientific discipline.
• Desired: Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering & Digital Engineering Transformations.
• Desired: Recent and direct experience in AT systems engineering.
• Desired: Recent and direct experience with DoW acquisitions.
• Desired: Master’s Degree in a Technical Field.

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $175,000 - $200,000 per year. Final salary is determined based on individual qualifications, education, experience, and contractual limitations.
