About the role
The successful candidate will lead the technical and strategic direction for ACA Group's UI platform, which is built on a modern architecture and leverages the latest in GenAI to provide intelligent solutions.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the frontend architecture strategy for a large, multi-module Angular platform using micro-frontends and Module Federation.
- Establish practical UI engineering standards for Angular, TypeScript, state management, signals, real-time data patterns, accessibility, and maintainable component design.
- Own the shared design system approach, including component library governance, Storybook, design tokens, theming, stylesheets, and cross-application consistency.
- Guide DevOps and developer experience for frontend, including dependency management, build tooling, testing frameworks, CI/CD, and release practices.
- Drive frontend performance best practices such as bundle optimization, lazy loading, and runtime performance monitoring.
- Partner with product, design, architecture, and engineering teams to align UI strategy with product goals and mentor teams toward consistent implementation.
- Evaluate emerging frontend technologies and AI-assisted development practices to improve UX, UI delivery, and developer productivity.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of frontend engineering experience, including significant hands-on work with modern Angular and TypeScript.
- Proven experience leading frontend architecture for complex SaaS platforms, preferably with micro-frontends (module federation) and multi-team UI delivery.
- Deep understanding of design systems, shared component libraries, Storybook, styling architecture, tokens, accessibility, and reusable UI patterns.
- Strong knowledge of modern frontend tooling and practices, including Nx or similar build systems, testing frameworks, CI/CD, versioning, and dependency management.
- Demonstrated ability to improve frontend performance, scalability, maintainability, and developer experience across multiple teams.
- Ability to communicate architectural direction clearly, influence cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and balance strategic leadership with hands-on technical depth.
- Bachelor’s degree required for candidate consideration. MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is a plus.
