Senior Analytics Consultant
About the role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Analytics Consultant in CBL-Consumer Deposit as part of the Affluent Deposits and Pricing Team. The Analytics team provides strategic analysis, management reporting, and tactical data support for the Affluent Consumer Deposit product teams. In this role, you will provide analytical support for various deposit products and programs, including data mining, developing and maintaining reports, performing in-depth research and analysis, and designing and running data processes.
Responsibilities
- Query GCP and other data sources to build datasets, analyze results, and deliver insights that support Affluent Consumer Deposit product teams
- Develop, maintain, and improve data processes, reporting routines, and analytical workflows
- Build and enhance reports and dashboards using SQL, SAS, Excel, Tableau, and Power BI
- Build business cases for new/enhanced products and services
- Support product servicing, risk management, and strategic initiatives through ad-hoc analysis, research, and recommendations
- Ensure adherence to data management or data governance regulations and policies
- Participate in company initiatives or processes to assist in meeting risk and other strategic goals
- Understand compliance and risk management requirements for the supported area
- Consult, review, and research moderately complex business, operational, and technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable data factors
- Perform moderately complex data analysis to support and drive strategic initiatives and business needs
- Develop a deep understanding of technical systems and business processes to extract data-driven insights while identifying opportunities for engineering enhancements
- Lead or participate in large cross-group projects
- Mentor less experienced staff
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, external contractors, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Leverage a solid understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for the supported area
Requirements
- 4+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Qualifications
- A BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative discipline
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- 4+ years of SQL experience
- 2+ years of SAS experience
- 2+ years of Tableau or Power BI experience
- 2+ years of Deposit Products experience
- 2+ years of Financial Services experience
- Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important

Pay
The base pay range for this position is $87,000.00 – $154,000.00. Pay may vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
