Senior Analyst, New Business Conflicts Clearance
About the role
We are seeking a Senior Analyst, New Business Conflicts Clearance to join our Firm. This position will be based in our Los Angeles or Palo Alto office (remote).
Responsibilities
- Reviews and analyzes conflicts reports to identify any potential conflicts of interest issues which require resolution.
- Collaborates with other members of the New Business Conflict Clearance team, Conflicts Attorneys, and Office of the General Counsel to resolve potential ethical conflicts and facilitate the new matter opening process.
- Communicates effectively with attorneys and staff to gather necessary information for conflicts checks, conflicts review and clarify any discrepancies in the iManage request form.
- Validates the requirements for each conflict check with the requesting lawyer or secretary to ensure compliance with firm policies and legal standards.
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.
- Manages Firm resources responsibly.
- Complies with and understands Firm operation, policies, and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g. Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems.
- Familiarity with conflicts database software, preferably iManage or Intapp, and a general understanding of the conflicts resolution process in a legal or professional services context.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing, in communicating with Firm attorneys and staff.
- Demonstrates close attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills.
- Able to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities.
- Able to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality.
- Able to organize and prioritize work.
- Able to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
- Able to work well independently as well as effectively within a team.
- To use discretion and exercise independent and sound judgment.
- Flexible to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum three years of relevant experience in a law firm or professional services firm.
- Experience working within a conflicts department at an Am Law 200 firm.

Pay
The starting base salary for this position is expected to be within the range listed under Salary Details. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.

Available shifts: Weekdays, Monday – Friday
Boston, NYC, DC: 5:00 pm – 1:00 am ET (Remote)
Chicago, Houston: 4:00 pm – 12:00 pm CT (Remote)
Los Angeles/Palo Alto: 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm PT (Remote)
