About the role

The Conflicts & New Business Technology Senior Analyst supports the Conflicts & New Business Senior Director and Manager in coordinating technology and AI initiatives with the Firm's Data & AI team and Information Technology. This role ensures requests are well-organized and clearly scoped, enabling efficient prioritization. It provides day-to-day project management and analytical support across conflicts and new business technology initiatives, from drafting business requirements through testing and implementation, while tracking a portfolio of concurrent projects.

The role requires a detail-oriented, technically fluent professional who can translate departmental needs into clear requirements, validate system functionality through structured testing, and keep multiple competing projects on track.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Conflicts & New Business Senior Director, Manager, and operations team in coordinating technology and AI initiatives with the Data & AI team and Information Technology, keeping requests organized and clearly scoped.
  • Assist in managing the day-to-day execution of conflicts and new business technology and AI projects, tracking milestones, dependencies, and deliverables from requirements through implementation.
  • Draft business requirements documents and functional specifications for AI, search, and workflow initiatives, incorporating input from Data & AI, IT, and department stakeholders.
  • Write and run queries against the Firm's conflicts database and related systems to support data analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Support the development and execution of test plans for application implementations and upgrades, including coordinating user acceptance testing with department staff.
  • Maintain and update project trackers and status reports across multiple concurrent technology initiatives, flagging risks and competing priorities.
  • Monitor the day-to-day performance of AI and technology tools used in conflicts clearance and new business intake, and route issues to Data & AI or IT as appropriate.
  • Support training and change management activities associated with new technology or AI functionality, ensuring department readiness and adoption.
  • Research and summarize emerging AI and technology solutions relevant to conflicts and new business operations for review by department leadership.
  • Document workflows, system configurations, and business processes to support consistency, knowledge transfer, and audit readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in technology project support, business analysis, or systems implementation, including experience writing business requirements and/or testing application implementations or upgrades.
  • Demonstrated experience writing and running database queries (e.g., SQL or similar query language).
  • Demonstrated ability to support multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities and shifting timelines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Intapp Open, Intapp Walls, Intapp Terms, or similar conflicts/risk management applications.
  • Experience implementing or supporting AI-enabled tools in a professional services or legal environment.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Agile/Scrum).
  • Experience working directly with IT and/or data science/AI teams on system implementations.
  • Experience in a law firm or other professional services environment.

Pay

The target salary range for this role is $85,600 - $118,000 if located in Illinois. Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate.
