Senior Analyst, Multi-housing Capital Markets Research – Central Region

The Role

The Senior Analyst will join JLL's capital markets research team, partnering with multi-housing / Living sector business stakeholders to analyze Central U.S. (Texas and Midwest) capital markets liquidity and pricing trends, capital formation trends, and themes related to the multi-housing / Living sector and Living alternative sectors. The Senior Analyst will report to the Director, Capital Markets Research, and will collaborate with various stakeholders across different lines and/or alternative property sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as lead research point of contact for JLL’s Texas and Midwest multi-housing leaders and regional multi-housing teams, partnering on strategic pitches and client presentations
  • Actively participate in pitch preparation and content creation for producers to leverage in deal execution, working with local market researchers to demonstrate JLL’s superior market knowledge
  • Proactively partner with the research team and capital markets leaders on the development of ad hoc data analysis and bespoke research that exemplifies JLL’s industry-leading thought leadership
  • Work across business lines and research functions on fee-based client advisory projects, leveraging internal and 3rd party data sources to create research that will be used by clients to take to investment committees and execute on business plans
  • Maintain and track development pipelines, monitor major transactions, and become an expert on the local economy, job and industry makeup, and demographics to tell a compelling story about Texas and Midwest markets
  • Collect and disseminate monthly or quarterly "talking points" and research slide decks related to the Living sector, working in conjunction with sector co-leads
  • Dive into real-time economic, financial and capital markets-related topics to build data and market narrative on ad hoc topics that emerge throughout the year
  • Work with designated Living Alternatives sector leads, discuss strategic research objectives and execute on bespoke research for use in pitches and presentations
  • Establish and regularly update national deck for designated Living Alternatives sector

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, real estate, or related field desired
  • Two to three years in commercial real estate, business analysis, research, or related field
  • Working knowledge of commercial real estate dynamics, economic fundamentals, and financial markets
  • Strong organizational, analytical skills, attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office products (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to efficiently multi-task, prioritize and manage work in a dynamic environment with senior stakeholders
  • Strong quantitative skillset with ability to identify new insights and trends through data analytics
  • Collaborative attitude and willingness to both work independently and as part of a dynamic team
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
