Key Responsibilities
- Aid in the preparation and consolidation of the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, and long-range models to align with corporate goals.
- Lead the power user for Adaptive Insights, managing budget models, automating data flows, and maintaining accurate dashboard reporting.
- Perform detailed financial analysis, provide insights, and prepare monthly reporting packages for functional teams to track spending against budget.
- Partner with the Accounting team during month-end close to prepare accruals and track activities across various projects and cost centers.
- Support growth initiatives including product development, research partnerships/collaborations, and capital expenditure projects.
- Proactively identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance standard product cost analysis.
- Assist with ad hoc projects as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting and Business Administration
- 5 years of relevant experience in budgeting and financial analysis (3 years with a Master’s degree)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and financial modeling skills
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights
- Advanced Excel skills, Google Workspace and MS 365 proficiency
- Experience with NetSuite and exposure to financial system implementations
- Solid understanding of US GAAP accounting principles
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
- MBA or CPA
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional leads
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
