Role Summary

The Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for supporting the planning and analysis processes surrounding the company’s revenue/expenses/premiums. Provide expertise in the technical support of key planning and analysis solutions including Oracle Planning and the Microsoft business intelligence (BI) platform.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in the preparation and analysis of annual, quarterly, and monthly plans and forecasts for the company.
  • This includes the company’s fee-based income (advisory & administration), reserve required interest, cashflows and other revenue generating business models.
  • Assist with the annual expense plan and expense budget submission for our Parent company (Mutual of America), investment advisor (Capital Management LLC) and other subsidiaries.
  • Afford assistance with the quarterly/monthly review of expenses/revenue as it relates to these subsidiaries and provide investigation and documentation of variances.
  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge with Oracle Planning.
  • Afford assistance with the development and improvement of Oracle Planning reports for Corporate Finance and across the company.
  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge and utilization of business intelligence solutions used by company.
  • Builds confidence in dealing with the business and knowledge of more in-depth tasks, developing the ability to take on more complex analyses and builds relationships to ensure achievement of Mutual of America’s strategy and objectives.
  • Performs analysis, research and/or conduct projects as requested by Corporate Finance management.
  • Responds to ad-hoc requests to address new business processes, policies, and procedures, etc.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Expert knowledge of MS business tools (Access / Excel / Word / PowerPoint / Visio / SharePoint)
  • Working knowledge of business intelligence tools including Oracle Planning and Microsoft BI
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Prior experience in a FP&A role
