About the role
The Senior Analyst - Collections is responsible for managing an assigned portfolio to meet quarterly cash collection and past-due balance targets. This role involves customer service for collection issues, processing refunds and account adjustments, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accounts through customer outreach, reconciliations, and credit memos—all within company guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare dunning (collection) notices and correspondence; answer inquiries about bills, accounts receivable, and collection items.
- Maintain professional decorum and de-escalate customer interactions.
- Reduce delinquency for assigned accounts.
- Collaborate with sales and senior management to accelerate collections when necessary.
- Communicate and follow up with the sales department regarding customer accounts.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with customers and sales teams.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies; investigate and resolve customer queries.
- Monitor customer accounts for non-payments, delayed payments, and irregularities.
- Collect, categorize, and maintain Accounts Receivable (AR) collections records in Getpaid.
- Report on AR balances, including current and delinquent accounts and collections.
- Prepare ad hoc and prescribed reports for management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Finance or Collections.

- Strong attention to detail and excellent command of grammar and language.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), with a focus on customer service.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Access (pivot tables, V-lookup, graphs/charts, analytics).
