About the role
The BSMR Analytics & Insights team is helping transform Brand Sourcing & Manufacturer Relations into a modern, data-driven, AI-enabled organization. As a Senior Analyst, Business Insights, you'll work at the intersection of cloud analytics, business operations, and emerging technologies to build solutions that improve decision-making across sourcing, manufacturer relations, logistics, and distribution operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems through data while partnering closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You'll play a key role in McKesson's continued investment in cloud modernization, AI innovation, and advanced analytics as the team expands its Databricks and Azure ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Build Analytics & Business Solutions
- Design and develop dashboards, applications, and reporting solutions that support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and enhanced reporting.
- Translate business requirements into scalable data-driven solutions.
- Advance Cloud & Data Platform Initiatives
- Support and enhance enterprise analytics platforms, including Databricks, Azure, SAP HANA, Postgres, and related technologies.
- Contribute to cloud migration efforts and platform modernization initiatives.
- Build and maintain scalable data assets, reporting structures, and data models that support business growth.
- Drive Innovation Through AI & Automation
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and advanced analytics to improve efficiency and business outcomes.
- Support enterprise innovation initiatives, including AIM28 priorities.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that create business value.
Requirements
- Typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience in analytics, business intelligence, data management, analytics engineering, or application development.
- Strong experience with Databricks, SQL, Python, GitHub, Azure, and AI-enabled tools to build, optimize, and support scalable enterprise data solutions.
- Hands-on experience with database management and database design.
- Experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise reporting and analytics solutions.
- Proven ability to gather requirements, deliver solutions, and partner with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Data Science, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Azure services such as AKS, Function Apps, Docker, and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience supporting cloud migration initiatives.
Schedule
Hybrid: One day per week at the office in LaVergne, TN with occasional quarterly travel. The hybrid schedule is very flexible.
Pay
McKesson offers a competitive compensation package determined by performance, experience, skills, equity, and geographical markets. The pay range for this position is $104,600 - $174,400. In addition to base pay, other compensation such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
