Senior AI Software Engineer

About the role

This role is a 6-month remote engagement for a Senior AI Software Engineer at Northwest Partners.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI-native enterprise applications using LLMs, GenAI, and Azure AI services
• Develop full-stack solutions (Python, TypeScript, C#) integrated with secure, scalable cloud architecture
• Implement RAG / GraphRAG-based solutions and AI-driven search and data workflows
• Build and manage secure data connectors and enterprise system integrations
• Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for security, compliance, scalability, and reliability
• Collaborate with security, IAM, and risk teams to ensure safe AI deployment
• Take solutions from prototype through production, including monitoring and operational handoff
• Document architecture, workflows, and best practices to support team enablement

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in applied AI solution delivery
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure AI services (OpenAI, Azure AI Studio/Foundry, Cognitive Search)
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and C#, with strong full-stack development experience
• Deep understanding of LLMs, GenAI, RAG, and modern AI application architecture
• Experience building secure, enterprise-grade systems with strong governance and compliance awareness
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Enterprise, and modern DevOps practices
• Ability to design scalable, production-ready AI systems in complex enterprise environments
• Strong self-learning mindset with continuous adoption of emerging AI tools and technologies
