Senior AI Software Engineer

About the role

The Senior Software Engineer provides dedicated infrastructure and software engineering services to ensure the client’s growing portfolio of Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions are securely, efficiently, and seamlessly deployed, integrated, and operated across enterprise cloud and technology platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; and following the software development lifecycle.
• Direct system installation and upgrades.
• Determine system specifications and requirements.
• Improve system performance by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
• Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
• Collaborate with a Joint Development Team (JDT) to ensure all work aligns with the client's IT roadmap and stakeholder requirements.
• Manage Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and git-based code management.
• Integrate observability tools into software engineering efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• DHS or FEMA clearance.
• 5-10 years of experience in software development, scripting, and project management.
• Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases.
• Hands-on experience developing applications using multiple frameworks.
• Proficiency in software engineering tools and software architecture.
• Proficiency in full-stack development approaches and program languages such as PERN (PostgreSQL, Express.js, React, and Node.js).
• Experience with infrastructure coding tools such as Terraform.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AI/ML platforms and services across multiple cloud environments, including Microsoft Azure (Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services), Amazon Web Services (AWS) (SageMaker, Lex), and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (Vertex AI, Gemini).
• Experience with AI capabilities embedded in SaaS platforms such as ServiceNow (Now Assist) and CRM software (Einstein AI).
