About Us

The AI Cloud and Developer Infrastructure organization is responsible for delivering and maintaining the tools and services engineers at GM use every day to do their best work and drive our cars forward. We enhance the entire development process—how and where code is checked out, modified, compiled, tested, merged, and deployed—ensuring our AV engineers and others have world-class tools and a seamless development experience so they can focus on the problems that matter most in their domain.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Engineer with an extensive engineering background, experience using a variety of developer tools and technologies, and a passion for developer productivity. As a leader on this team, you will care deeply about the technical development of other engineers and balance the needs of the business, our users, and the growth of our engineers. You will identify how to deliver impact with minimal guidance and adapt your approach based on the situation.

The Team

The Continuous Integration (CI) Platform team owns our CI infrastructure and the tools that improve the CI customer experience. We are part of the AI and Cloud Developer Productivity Organization and provide the building blocks for high-quality CI experiences and workflows. This includes services like Remote Build Execution (RBE), which enables reliable testing at scale, and a FUSE-based network file system for build artifact storage. Our goal is to accelerate AV development by supporting workflows for building, testing, and releasing software.

As part of this team, you will specialize in RBE and our in-house FUSE file system, which supports CI, ML training, simulation, and remote builds. You will work with internal customers to integrate their tools with the FUSE file system, with a primary focus on enabling source code editing in developer environments.
