Senior AI Developer (Full‑Stack)

Location: Charlotte, NC (Brevard) – Onsite

About the role

Design, build, and productionize Generative AI applications end-to-end, including robust workflows with LangChain and LangGraph. Develop and optimize retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, including document ingestion, embeddings, and vector database indexing. Implement scalable microservices on Google Vertex AI, ensuring system reliability, security, and cost-efficiency. Create user-facing applications and backend services, integrating authentication, authorization, and rate limiting. Establish best practices for prompt engineering, orchestration, testing, and model lifecycle management, mentoring team members along the way.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and productionize Generative AI applications end-to-end
• Develop and optimize retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, including document ingestion, embeddings, and vector database indexing
• Implement scalable microservices on Google Vertex AI, ensuring system reliability, security, and cost-efficiency

• Mentor team members

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on AI/ML systems
• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience building production systems with Generative AI, LangChain, and LangGraph
• Expertise with Google Vertex AI, including models, endpoints, pipelines, and vector search
• Deep understanding of RAG strategies, vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS), and embedding models (OpenAI, Vertex, Cohere)
• Proficiency in backend development with Python (FastAPI) or Node.js, and frontend development with React/Next.js
